Ladies and gentlemen
How quickly a year goes by; it's no sooner started and the next thing it's over.
And the year after the credit crunch did have some surprises in store for us. First, the increase in commodity prices, that of course left its mark on us, and secondly the resulting delivery times.
But let's not dwell on the past; let us instead look positively to the future and next year. New innovations are out there just waiting to be discovered by you. Our new Segment manager for Architectural Glazing, H. Karim Fortas is already working on them; but more about that in the New Year. We will keep you posted.
We would like to share some of the highlights of the last few months with you at the end of the year. One would be the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in Kensington Gardens in London, with its custom red that can be seen from far and wide. And we believe the success story of the botanical gardens in Mannheim and the Romanian National Stadium project at Lia Manoliu currently underway are worth a mention.
One last tip for the end of the year for cleaning Makrolon®, Vivak® and Axpet® tiles rounds off the December issue of the Bayer Sheet Europe newsletter.

Makrolon® sheets shape the new National Stadium Lia Manoliu in Romania . In Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a new National Stadium is currently under construction and planned to be completed at the end of 2010. The architectural design with its eye-catching cabriolet roof of Makrolon® sheets from Bayer Sheet Europe, evokes memories of the Commerzbank in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The stadium is named after Lia Manoliu, a discus thrower who won a gold medal at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico and died in 1998. With its innovative architecture, the new stadium fits well in the line-up of modern sports arenas. more...
